PHILADELPHIA, PA, March 2, 2011 - RES Software, the proven leader in dynamic desktop solutions, today announced the appointment of Gene Bonacci as Vice President of Channels and Strategic Alliances. Reporting to President of RES Software Americas, Jim Kirby, Bonacci will oversee North American channel and system integrator relationships, accelerating growth through Arrow ECS North America and key U.S.-based resellers.

Throughout his career, he has been responsible for managing global sales and strategies for large technology companies and brings more than 15 years of experience in technology sales and leadership to his new role. Bonacci will leverage his deep expertise and understanding of customer needs to create effective channel, sales and product integration strategies that drive business growth in both the commercial market and federal government sector.
"Arrow ECS is pleased that RES is increasing its commitment to, and investment in, the US channel market through this appointment," said Mike Nowlan, Vice President of the North American security, virtualization and networking practices for Arrow Enterprise Computing Solutions, a business segment of Arrow Electronics Inc. "We look forward to working with Mr. Bonacci in his new role to help grow the RES channel."

"The RES Software product portfolio and the sophistication of its engineering team position the company to tackle the challenges faced across many industries, delivering new levels of cost and time savings to its rapidly expanding U.S. customer base.”
Most recently, Bonacci held the position of Global VP of Strategic Sales at Wyse Technology where he increased federal sales revenue 150 percent in 12 months. Prior to Wyse, he led sales efforts at Symantec Software as Global Director of Sales and Endpoint Virtualization. In that position, he focused on sales enablement, training and management coinciding with the global introduction of the Symantec Workspace Virtualization solution. Previously, Bonacci served as Global Vice President of Sales at Appstream Inc., where he drove significant revenue growth and channel strategy, leading to the company’s acquisition by Symantec.
Today’s users leverage corporate computing resources via a range of different devices, and application access is delivered through multiple channels including those that are locally-installed, virtualized (such as Microsoft App-V), remote via Citrix and RDP as well as desktops in private or public clouds.
